Why does the foreclosure auction on my neighbors house keep getting postponed?

It was added online to a foreclosure listing site in March of 2008 and every month, a couple days before the auction date, it gets postponed for about a month. Once it was postponed for six months. The place is becoming a veritable garbage dump. The new auction date is in August, but I suppose that will be postponed as well. Anybody with foreclosure knowledge have any ideas? Thanks.

well this happens because the lender or the mortgagor get the permission by the court of the authority which makes its keep on postponing or the another possible reason can be this that the mortgagor has filed a lawsuit against the mortgagor regarding the violation of the terms violation that’s why its keep on postponing

Sounds like your neighbor is on death row and keeps getting a stay of execution from the governor!
Hang in there, I am sure their appeals will run out at some point.
